Flatcolor Gallery to open at First Thursday Art Walk
Seattle,WA - June 1st, 2009
Flatcolor Gallery is pleased to open their doors Thursday, June 4th, 2009 with two of Seattle's favorite underground artists Parskid and 2H!
Flatcolor Gallery is the evolution of Flatcolor.com, started by Cristopher Cook in 2007 to create limited-run artists prints and products featuring artists from the Northwest. A business Cook started as a side project while working as a creative director for a local start-up.
"In opening Flatcolor Gallery, I'm excited to take the work I've started on Flatcolor.com to the next level and share artists that I've been inspired by with Seattle." says Cook.
Flatcolor Gallery will hold their grand opening from 5pm-9pm as part of the June 4th First Thursday Artwalk in Pioneer Square.
"I'm proud to bring fresh original art and artists to Pioneer Square's Artwalk."says Cook. "It's an event that has inspired me personally since I was a teenage art student. To be a part of an event that has inspired generations of people in Seattle is a great honor."
"Flatcolor Gallery is the perfect space for Parskid and 2H's exciting new paintings."
Parskid draws inspiration from his childhood, nature, fantasy, and folklore to create haunting, otherworldly landscapes traversed by his iconic characters.
