"Drum of the Draw" Connects Artists and Community


Seattle,WA - August 14th, 2009

Flatcolor Gallery is pleased to to announce a new monthly event, "Drum of the Draw" premiering Saturday August 22nd.


"Drum of the Draw" is a live drawing event that brings artists and their creative process to the public for one night each month at Flatcolor Gallery.

Augusts event features the talents of local artists Joe McSween(2H), Warren Dykeman, Robert Hardgrave, Amy Huddleston, Sean Hurley, Jesse LeDoux, Parskid and, Darin Shuler.


From 5-8pm artists will create original drawings at the event while the public is invited enjoy refreshments and observe the artists at work.
The drawings created during the event will then be for sale from 8-9pm for affordable prices ranging from $40-$200.


"Drum of the Draw" is the brain child of local artist Robert Hardgrave who saw it as an opportunity to create an intimate art event that connects artists and the community.
"I have always enjoyed watching others draw. This sort of event allows folks to take a peek at the creative process, something which is normally inaccessible." says Hardgrave.
